Club Operation

The Salmon Arm Fish and Game Club (SAFGC) is open every day of the year. Access to the club is by activated key FOB or entry code.

Gate Schedule: 7:00 am – 9:00 pm daily

Shooting Hours: 7:30 am – 9:00 pm daily or light permitting

Note: If you try your key FOB or entry code prior to 7:00 am you will not be admitted to the SAFGC. The gate activates at 7:00 am each day.

General Meetings: Third Thursday of every month except July and August

Problems with the Gate: If you have problems at the gate please contact Ray Bruneau – RMC Systems Ltd. at email or cell: (250) 515-1075.

Horses and Dogs: Neighbours access the club property with their horses and dogs so that they can walk the trail that takes them to the Larch Hills. Entry codes grant them access so they can walk through to the trail located about 100 yards past the gate on the left hand side as you drive in.

This long-term arrangement has been in place for 30 plus years. Please slow down so we don’t scare the horses, dogs and their owners.

Clubhouse Use

The clubhouse is available to all members, their guests and renters. You are welcome to use the kitchen and washroom facilities between 7:00 am and 9:00. Please keep the clubhouse clean and tidy.

Inside temperature controls at the clubhouse are pre-set. A timer controls the electric wall heaters and turns off the electric heaters when you leave. If you prefer a more traditional form of heat, you are welcome to use the wood stove. Chopped
wood may be found in a wood shed behind the clubhouse. Make sure you dampen down the wood stove before you leave.

The storage room in the clubhouse contains an automatic defibrillator if it is required. Signs on the door indicate its location.

A portable Level 2 First Aid Kit is located on the front table in the main room of the clubhouse should it be needed.

Located behind the clubhouse there is a fire pit. This fire pit is available for use to those who rent. Summers can be quite dry so please pay attention to any BC fire bans issued in Shuswap.
