Sunday, May 7, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Salmon Arm Fish and Game Club Rifle Range
Members of Salmon Arm Fish & Game Club and their guests (under-18 must be supervised by a parent).
We will also be inviting some neighbouring clubs.

Fee: $10 for members, $15 for non members, on the day of the event.

BASICS – The targets are small eggs hung on strings at 100 yards. In each round of the event, each shooter will have 5 eggs and 5 shots to hit them. The score for that round is the number of eggs hit. We anticipate each shooter will shoot 2-3 rounds of 5 shots at 5 eggs, depending on time and number of shooters. This year we will be adding a set of targets at 25 yards for the kids to shoot at.

RIFLES – Any rifle is allowed, centrefire and rimfire. A forearm rest is allowed, either bipod or rests provided at the range or sandbags. Only your shoulder can support the back of the gun. Bring your own ammo and rifle.

PROTECTION – Eye and ear protection are both mandatory. Both earplugs and earmuffs are recommended as some guns will have muzzle brakes and will be very loud. A supply of earplugs and some safety glasses will be available if needed.

TO BRING – You will need your rifle and at least 15 rounds.

SIGHT-INS – If possible, have your gun sighted in before the event. Time will be allowed for sight-ins from 9:00 to 9:30 the day of the event, before the event starts.

REGISTER – Please register at shoot@safgc.ca Early registration will help us prepare for the number of shooters expected. Pop and snacks will be provided.

OTHER INFORMATION – There may be a photographer on hand taking pictures for the club website.

There will be some small prizes, but this really is just plain old fun shooting. So bring a good attitude and cheer on the other shooters. If you want to watch, spectators are welcome. As always, we require eye and ear protection for everyone.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY –
We will need help on Thursday May 4 at 7:00 pm,
at the range clubhouse to glue the strings to the eggs.
