The SAFGC Bylaws allow the club to stagger end dates to ensure that only one half of the Board’s executive positions expire in any given year. Given a small re-organization, some resignations and the Covid cancelled 2020 AGM, the terms for elected positions vary between 1 year and 2 years in order to maintain that one half threshold of executive positions expiring.
Special Resolution 2022-01 to withdraw from the British Columbia Wildlife Federation and Purchase Club Insurance created the most discussion during the evening. This resolution passed with no member opposing. Please refer to this our website at Events & News: Meetings: Resolutions for more detailed information about this special resolution. Rather than pay $21,000 – $24,000 annually to BCWF for membership in their federation, the Salmon Arm Fish and Game Club will re-direct this revenue to local Shuswap and Okanagan fish and wildlife conservation projects that the club decides to support. SAFGC members may still elect to join the BCWF on their own.
